Dansko shoes are my favorite shoes! They are the only shoes I can wear without orthotic inserts, and when I am going to be on my feet all day long they are always my first choice. I wear my Dansko sandals during the summer, and this time of year the Professional Clogs are my favorite choice. Right now Dansko is celebrating their 20th Anniversary, and to help celebrate they are sponsoring a great Way Of Life promotion.
During the month of November Dansko will donate $1 to charity for every person that submits to its Way of Life website. The idea behind the Way of Life promotion is to reflect on words that inspire. To start the site Dansko first created a list of words reflecting their core values and commitment. Phrases they selected include, “Own Your Happiness,” “Make a Difference” and “Work Wonders”.
Now they want your input, and to learn what words inspire you! To encourage fans Dansko will donate $1 to one of six charities for each submission. You get to select the charity that will receive the donation from among these great organizations:
- The Conservation Alliance
- Teach for America
- American Red Cross
- Action for Healthy Kids
- Save the Children
- Heifer International
In addition Dansko has also introduced a limited edition 20th Anniversary Clog, which was designed to include words reflecting Dansko’s “way of life”. They sent me a pair to try out, and they are really cool looking. The words are subtle enough that from a distance they just look like a pattern. In the two days I have been wearing them I have already gotten a number of comments on how good they look. The design was inspired partly by wood grain, and it does have a wood look to it. I love the rich brown color, and my other pair of Dansko clogs is blue, so now I have a nice variety of color in my shoe choices. Of course they are just as comfortable as I expected them to be, and I was able to wear them all day without having to worry about breaking them in. The Dansko Way of Life promotion runs from November 1 through November 30. Dansko will make a $1 donation for each contribution up to a total donation amount of $25,000.
