Food is always a great Holiday present, and popcorn is always popular with my family. When my children saw that I had received a tin of Topsy’s Popcorn to review they were thrilled, although they were annoyed I made them wait for the weekend and a family movie night to dig in.
Topsy’s has been making popcorn since 1929 using an old fashioned recipe that give it a great taste. They have four flavors to choose from, butter, cheddar cheese, caramel and cinnamon. They sent us a big tin containing the cheddar cheese, caramel and cinnamon popcorn to try out.
I loved the cheddar cheese, it is my favorite flavor and had a robust cheesy taste. The rest of the family like the caramel popcorn best. In fact the caramel was gone very, very quickly. None of us had ever had cinnamon popcorn before, and unfortunately it wasn’t a big hit. This isn’t surprising because no one in the family likes cinnamon candy. It is a pretty red color and looks very festive for this time of year, but I guess it is an acquired taste.
