CosMedix is a skin care company which provides skin care solutions to both professionals and consumers. They are committed to using pure ingredients that produce rapid results without using things like parabens, fillers, artificial dyes or harsh actives ingredients. They also look for ways to give back to the community, and are a big supporter of the American Heart Association’s Go Red For Women program. I am always looking for skin care products that will keep my skin looking young and smoother, so I was happy to review some of CosMedix’s skin care line.
I received two of their kits, the Liquid Crystals Holiday Bundle and the Clear Kit to review. The Liquid Crystals Bundle has 2 products – Opti Crystals which aims to give a brighter and more youthful look and the Emulsion which is a moisturizer. The Opti Crystals is designed to replenish damaged,thinning skin around the eyes and contains alpha lipoic acid to diminish the appearance of eye lines and wrinkles, I definitely have some lines and wrinkles around my eyes, and I appreciate a product that will make me younger (even a little bit!) The Emulsion was a fine moisturizer, and left my skin feeling smooth. There is no greasy residue, and the scent is very light. I don’t like strongly scented lotions, so this is perfect for me.
The Clear Kit consists of the purity clean cleanser, a refining treatment and a clarity treatment. This kit is designed to help oily skin prevent breakouts. I don’t really have a problem with breakouts so I can’t say how well it works for that. But the cleanser was an excellent all purpose cleanser that left my skin feeling clean without drying it out, which was nice. The Clarity treatment combines tea tree oil with witch hazel, and willow herb to help prevent breakouts on oily skin. I am going to give that to my daughter when she gets back from college, since I don’t need it but she does.
I have been very pleased with the CosMedix products, and am enjoying using them. They would make a great holiday present for someone who cares about looking their best. Plus CosMedix is going to giveaway a Liquid Crystal Holiday Bundle to one of my readers!
