My 12 year old son has always suffered from car sickness. His older sisters get nauseous sometimes in the car, but it is much more frequent for him. He rarely actually throws up, but a long trip makes him feel miserable. When he was about 5 years old we discovered the Sea-Band Wristbands, and we have been using them every since. Sea-Band works by exerting constant, gentle pressure on a point on an acupressure point on the inner wrist. It brings effective relief within five minutes of being applied and can be used before or after the onset of nausea. These Sea-Bands are FDA approved for nausea, and they work extremely well for my family.
Once my son started using them his older sisters started using them too. They don’t get sick as often, but they can’t read in the car without feeling nauseous. Since we are practically the only family left in the country without a portable DVD player for car trips, they read in the car a lot. So on long car trips all three of my children usually wear Sea-Bands. Luckily they are very reasonably priced, at about $11 a pair, and are available in most drug stores. We have had to start out car trips with a stop at the drug store to pick up a new pair more than once, since my children lose them!
The Sea-Bands are easy to put on and comfortable to wear. They come in a bunch of colors too, but we always seem to end up with gray ones. And they last for a long time, at least if your children are less careless than mine. I would much rather try a simple drug free remedy like this before I tried medicine. I only wish I’d know about these when I was pregnant, since they can work for morning sickness too. So if you have any problems with nausea from motion sickness, morning sickness, migraines, chemotherapy or anything else give these bands a try and see if they work for you too.

My 9 year old loves to read when traveling but she gets nauseous like me so these would be great to try out and see if she can read in the van now – she and I also suffer from migraines and I wonder if these would help when the nausea starts with the migraine.

I would use these for either my son or even myself. Believe it or not…I still as an adult cannot look down at a book or paper in a car for more than a minute or two without getting seriously car sick and it was a major issue for me as a kid! My son took after me in that and has the same problem.
My daughter gets car sick on even short rides if they involve turns or stop lights, I would love to see if this would help her.

I want these because I am taking my first cruise this summer. I tend to get sick on long car rides so I need to be prepaired in case of sea sickness.
I could really use these because I would like to give them to a friend of mine whose daughter is pregnant and having a really hard go at it this time around. This is her 2nd pregnancy and the hardest one. She is having so much nausea that she can not even keep anything down and this is causing her to not get the proper nutrients that she and the baby needs. Thank you and have a great 2012 :0)

I recently started getting car sick when I was in the car for long periods of time. Someone recommended Sea Bands so I tried them out and they actually work!
I have had issues with car sickness for many, many years. I can’t be in a car for over five minutes without extreme nausea. I’ve tried many drugs and products and nothing has helped. After reading about this product, I’m very curious!

I need these because I get car sick all the time, even when we are just driving across town. I also get really bad migraines and would like to try them for nausea relief when I get them.
I have always gotten car sick, and it only takes about 3 minutes of being in the car for it to happen. Four times a year my job runs a week long camp for autistic children, and we take them on field trips everyday. I would love to be able to sit in the van with the kids, rather than driving, but with my car sickness I just can’t.
