We have lots and lots of Cheerios in the house right now, so I wanted to make a Cheerio dessert. The Cheerios website has a whole section of recipes on it, and I modified the Banana Nut Snack Bars recipe to make these chocolate covered Cheerio Snack Bars.
Stanley Steemer Gift Certificate Review and Giveaway
Dirt never quits! It is the time of year for spring cleaning, but there are some things that you just can’t clean for yourself, which is when it is time to call in the experts. Vacuuming is important, but it doesn’t remove all the grime, dirt, and dust that get tracked into the house. So every year or so we like to get our carpets professionally cleaned, and this year we used Stanley Steemer for the cleaning.

Grilled Beef and Potato Kebob Recipe
My family always enjoys grilling food outside this time of year. We have a long winter around here, so once the snow is gone and we can break out the grill we can hardly wait! Kebobs are one of my favorite things to grill because they have both meat and vegetables, so it is an efficient way to cook. We had perfect grilling weather this weekend, and I made this beef kebob for dinner on Saturday.
Theraderm Skin Renewal System and Giveaway
I recently had the chance to try out the Thermaderm Skin Renewal System for a few weeks. Until a few years ago I didn’t pay much attention to skin care. When I was younger I was able to get by with just washing my face twice a day and using moisturizer. That worked fine for a while, but once I hit 40 I started to notice quite a bit of deterioration in my skin, and found I needed to do more.
Pure Leaf Iced Tea Drinks for the Kentucky Derby
The Kentucky Derby is this weekend, on Saturday, May 5th. It is always a fun day to get together with friends and enjoy the race, even if you aren’t a big horse racing fan. Let’s face it, it is always nice to have an excuse for a party! Iced tea is a great addition to a Kentucky Derby celebration, since it is a quintessential southern drink.
Apricot Almond Bread Pudding
I made this delicious bread pudding using the organic fruits and nuts that I received from Bella Viva Orchards. I love apricots and almonds, and I thought they would make a great combination for a bread pudding. I tried to make the recipe not too unhealthy, so the recipes has less eggs, sugar and butter than most bread pudding recipes. Even with that it was plenty sweet, since the dried apricots are so sweet they don’t need extra sugar. [Read more...]
Bella Viva Orchards Review and Giveaway
![]()
I recently had the chance to review a gift crate filled with organic fruits and nuts from Bella Viva Orchards. I love dried fruit, because it is a healthy snack that satisfies my sweet tooth! The Organic Gift Crate came with four different types of foods, and includes yellow peaches, dried apricots, almonds and Thompson raisins. Bella Viva is a family run farm in the San Joaquin Valley that practices sustainable land use and organic farming.
I was very impressed with this gift basket, and the fruit and nuts taste delicious. The raisins were much more plump and moist than the ones you can buy at the grocery store, you could just see how fresh they were.
Flowers for Mother’s Day–From You Flowers Review
Mother’s Day is one of the biggest holidays of the year for sending flowers! It is a time tested way of showing your Mom how much you love her and appreciate all that she has done for you.
This year I was able to review a lovely flower arrangement provided by From You Flowers. They have a wide variety of Mother’s Day Flowers and gifts, so there is plenty to choose from. They have arrangements that include tulips, roses, lilies and almost any other kind of flower you could think of. I received one of their most popular arrangements, the Floral Celebration for Mom.
