Over the Moon Milk Review and Giveaway

Over the Moon MilkOver the Moon Milk is available in dairy sections of grocery stores in New England, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Virginia. They have partnered with local dairies to bring fresh and delicious milk to local grocery stores.  In my area Garelick Farms supplies the milk, and it is delicious and creamy.

I recently bought some of the Fat Free Chocolate Milk and Fat Free White Milk for my family to try.  The kids saw the chocolate milk in the refrigerator and almost had it finished off before I even was able to take a picture!  The picture shows all the chocolate milk that the kids left for me to try.  I tasted what they left me, and I was surprised that this chocolate milk fat free, because it tasted rich and creamy.  I also like the fact that it doesn’t contain any high fructose corn syrup.

Earth Day Giveaway–Repurpose Compostables Cups

Styrofoam cups are not eco-friendly at all, since they are made from a liquid hydrocarbon that is manufactured from petroleum.  But styrofoam cups sure come in handy sometimes, so it is great to know that companies like Repurpose Compostables have been busy creating alternatives.  Repurpose Compostables was founded in 2009 by a group looking for ways to solve the problems of single use plastic products. Repurpose decided to create plant based products, compostable products.  This means they are made from easily renewable resources, and have a lower environmental footprint.

Rubbermaid Hidden Recycler–Earth Day Review and Giveaway

Recycling is an important way to help the planet and it really can make a difference, so anything that makes it easier is great!  The new Rubbermaid Hidden Recycler is designed to make recycling quick and easy.  My children are motivated to recycle, unfortunately all they do is leave the things that need to be recycled sitting on the counter.  Apparently the idea of actually putting an empty can in the recycle bin seems overwhelming!  This recycler bag attaches to a cabinet door in the kitchen, so they can actually use it without any extra effort.

BistroMD Review and Giveaway

Since the beginning of the year I have been trying to eat better and lose weight. Big G Curvy Straws Review and Giveaway

Big_G_Curvy_Straws_logoDon’t you hate it when the kids pour a big bowl of cereal, and then leave a bowl full of milk sitting on the counter?  All that perfectly good milk is left sitting in the bowl, instead of helping them fulfilling their body’s daily dairy, calcium, and Vitamin D needs.  To encourage kids to slurp all the milk out of the bowl Big G has come out with new Curvy Straws, which are available in specially marked cereal boxes. Go Green with Shaklee Cleaners

I have putting more effort lately into making green choices, and doing things like buying organic food, recycling, and not using lawn chemicals. But one thing I haven’t really thought much about at all is green cleaning products. This is probably because I put as little thought and effort into house cleaning as possible! But some cleaning does have to get done, and there are many ways to be eco-conscious when doing it. [Read more...]

Natural Skin Care by Alchemilla–Lip Balm Review and Giveaway

Chapped lips are so annoying, and for some reason everyone in my family is prone to them. We must have bad genes or something, because our lips are always chapped, cracked and dry.  It is worse in the winter, but is a problem year round. Many of the products designed for chapped lips just leave your lips feeling waxy and don’t really heal the lips, they just cover up the problem. I recently had the chance to try the Healing Lip Balm from Alchemilla to see if a natural, organic product would work better. [Read more...]

Nature’s Sleep Memory Foam Slipper Review and Giveaway

Nature's Sleep Memory Foam SlippersSome people can walk around all day barefoot or in socks, but not me. If I don’t have something on my feet to support them then my feet feel achy and tired. Most slippers don’t have any support, so I usually wear shoes around the house. But recently I received a pair of Memory Foam Slippers from Nature’s Sleep, which have a memory foam inner sole, that contours to your feet while absorbing pressure and impact.
