Christmas Cookies

We love to make Christmas cookies. So far we have made chocolate chip and Hershey’s Kiss cookies.  Today we are making brownies, Rice Krispie treats and snickerdoodles.  Then tomorrow we will make sugar cookies and gingerbread to decorate on Thursday. Here is our Hershey’s Kiss cookie recipe:

Hershey's Kiss Cookies

Ingredients
 

  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup peanut butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 1/2 cup flour
  • 2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 2 teaspoon salt
  • 36 Hersheys Kisses

Instructions

  • Heat oven to 375°F.
  • Cream together butter, sugars and peanut butter. Mix in eggs and vanilla. Add flour, baking soda and salt.

  • Make dough into small balls. Roll in white sugar and put them on a cookie sheet.
  • Bake for 8 to 10 minutes. Put and unwrapped Hershey Kiss into each cookie as soon as you take them out of the oven.

  1. Anne, I made my Kiss Cookies yesterday! My kisses melted and looked like buttons! How did you keep them so perfect? Also, I messed up and grabbed the wrong bag of kisses and grabbed Hugs instead- they actually were quite pretty, but arrgghhh, I wanted perfect ones not melted ones! LOL
