I made the crust from Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal and used vanilla ice cream. The cereal is in the crust, filling and around the edges, so the pie has a great cinnamon flavor, with just a hint of chocolate.

But you can substitute your favorite cereal and flavor of ice cream. This is a low-effort recipe that looks and tastes fantastic! In this post, I will show you how to make an ice cream pie and give you delicious topping ideas and expert tips. So let’s get started!

💭How to Store

This pie is the perfect make-ahead dessert! After making it, you can keep the pie in the freezer, tightly covered or stored in an airtight container, for 1 month.

After you have sliced and served the pie, any leftovers are best eaten within 7 days. It will likely start to get ice crystals from being thawed and refrozen, so it doesn’t keep as well once served the first time.

📝Variations

  • Use caramel sauce instead of hot sauce for a change of flavor.
  • Switch up the cereal used for the pie crust. Or make an Oreo chocolate cookie crust or graham cracker crust.
  • Instead of vanilla, use your favorite ice cream flavors, like mint chocolate chip ice cream or chocolate ice cream.
