Looking for a high quality game that can be played by all ages? BeginAgain of Fort Collins, Colorado makes eco-friendly toys that teach through play, and they sent me the new game Don’t Dump Dumpty to review.
At first glance it looks like a preschool game, and it can played by kids as young as 2. But it has many variations which make it fun for all ages, up to adults.
The game is well made, and is constructed from sustainably harvest rubberwood and finished with child safe stains. It is all wooden, so the game has a nice feel to it, and should last for years.
It comes with suggestions for 10 different games. The most basic for 2-3 year olds consists of just building up the wall and knocking down Dumpty. You can also extend the game to make it about learning numbers, counting or odd and even numbers. For families you can play variations where teams are vying for the scarlet blocks or the crimson blocks, or have teams add up points as they remove blocks.
The various games are easy to figure out how to play, and the instructions are helpfully printed right on the building tray, so they will never get lost. It is easy to come up with variations based on what your family enjoys. It is unusual to find a game that is so versatile and easy to enjoy.
BeginAgain makes a number of other toys and games too, all of which are made from eco-friendly sustainable materials and designed to be both fun and educational. You can buy products on their website, or on retailers like Amazon.com. Visit them on social media to learn more:
