Our cat Soda is pretty laid back. When he was younger he was kind of feisty, but now that he is nine years old he is content to divide his time between sleeping in the sun and eating his cat food.
With Halloween approaching my kids and I decided it would be fun to dress him up for Halloween! At 14 and 17 my kids aren’t planning to dress up this year, but they loved the idea of costumes for the pets.
It took us a little while to find a good costume for him. We knew we wanted a costume that only required fastening around his neck, so we wouldn’t annoy him too much. We also wanted something that wasn’t too girly, after all he is a dignified boy! We finally found a dinosaur costume designed for small dogs, and it was perfect.
He looked pretty ferocious, and makes an excellent orange and green dinosaur. He was even more cooperative than we expected, and didn’t mind wearing it at all, especially since he was getting lots of attention.
Of course Halloween is also about getting treats, so we treated him to some delicious Sheba cat food from Walmart. It is important to us to feed our cat well with high quality food that contains real meat and not fillers. Sheba found doesn’t contain grain or corn, which cats don’t need.
Luckily the Sheba cat food is well priced too, and it is very affordable. Right now it is on Rollback at Walmart for only $.50 a can, and there is a Buy 6, Get 1 Free coupon available at http://www.sheba.com/Home. We picked up a variety of flavors for Soda, including Salmon, Tuna and Chicken.
The kids are convinced that Tuna is his favorite, but it seems to me that he wolfs down whichever flavor he gets! He will eat dry cat food, but he clearly prefers the canned Sheba cat food. You can learn more and connect with Sheba on Facebook or on twittter @ShebaBrand.
