K’NEX have always been some of my kids’ favorite toys. They are fun to make and educational at the same time. Over the past few years we have built rollercoasters, Ferris wheels, cars, and just strange stuff. This year K’NEX sent me a set from their Stem Explorations Series, the Swing Ride Building Set to try out!
I brought it along with my on our Thanksgiving weekend trip, because I know my niece and nephew are both big K’NEX fans too. They are 12 and 13, and as the youngest of the grandchildren in the family they can feel a little left out when all their older cousins get together. Friday after Thanksgiving their cousins all left to go Black Friday shopping, so I gave my niece and nephew the Swing Ride Building Set to play with.
They had a blast, and spent the next 2 plus hours constructing the amusement park ride. They worked together without arguing and were very proud that they were able to get the whole thing working. The rest of the day they made sure each and every other person in the house had the chance to admire it and watch it spin.
And they insisted I take a video, so you can watch it spin too!
You can find K’NEX at any toy store, online at Amazon.com or on the K’NEX website. The Stem Exploration Series is wonderful for older kids like my niece and nephew, and really encourages problem solving and creativity, and they have lots of sets designed for younger age kids too. Thanks to K’NEX I have a building set to give away to one of my readers. Enter in the Rafflecopter form below.
