Winter weather is in full swing, we woke up to more snow this morning. And later this week temperatures are not supposed to get out of the teens, so it is sweater weather for sure. I love beautiful and comfortable wool sweaters, and some of my favorites are the ones from Krimson Klover.
Krimson Klover specializes in making sweaters from luxury fibers like merino wool. Their sweaters are designed to allow adventurous women express their femininity while feeling and looking good in all her daily pursuits. The sweaters have been available at specialty retailers for a few years, but the company recently launched a site for online ordering at http://www.krimsonklover.com/. The nearest dealer to me is about 90 minutes away, so I am glad to see the ability to shop online!
There is a nice variety in the knitwear, some of which have great patterns, like the Belle Ami sweater on the left above, and some of which are more subtle, with the details in the intricate knit patterns, like the Daisy Chain sweater on the right. Like many of their products both these sweaters are made with 100% merino wool, which is amazingly soft and comfortable to wear. The company also takes environmental responsibility seriously and makes sure that their yarn comes from sources that respect and take care of their animals and employees.
In addition to sweaters they have many others kinds of knitwear, including skirts, dresses, hats, socks, tights and scarves. I let my daughter browse their website, and she fell in love with their knit dresses. So I let her chose one of the dresses to review, and she picked the Bird on a Wire dress in Black/Charcoal.
I love the subtle pattern on this dress, because it is dressy and classy without being too showy.
This dress is made of 80% pima cotton and 20% merino wool, and is incredibly soft and comfortable. My daughter is thrilled to have a warm, elegant dress to wear during the cold winter months.
So if you are looking for high quality knitwear be sure to check out Krimson Klover. As you would expect from the quality their clothes are not cheap, and the dress my daughter received retails for $166. But I’d rather get a few high quality pieces that will last for years than a bunch of cheap ones. And they do have a sale section, which I am going to be watching closely to see if I can pick up some bargains!
Disclosure: I received product to review, all opinions are my own.
