Every family has holiday traditions that they treasure.  For us making sugar cookies is a big holiday tradition. My kids love to go overboard on the frosting and candies, and in fact they over decorate so much that the cookies are almost too sweet to eat!  But for them it is about the art, not eating the cookies.

Another tradition that we have is always getting gifts from Hickory Farms for at least one of our relatives. These classic cheese and sausage gifts are always appreciated, and make a perfect present for almost anyone.  I recently had the chance to review Hickory Farms Tools of the Trade Tool Bag.

Opening one thing on Christmas eve, watching football, making cookies…just a few of our favorite traditions. We used to have cinnamon rolls every Christmas morning and finally when my youngest was about 10 he told me he never really liked them, he was feeding them to the dog and could we just have cereal, lol, so much for that tradition!

My husband and I like to participate in Operation Christmas Child. We fill up a shoe box full of goodies and send it overseas to another country. The kids get to open up a surprise box full of fun stuff at/around Christmastime! It’s become a little tradition of ours!

    Thanks for the opportunity.

When we were kids, we had a large extended family. Instead of exchanging gifts with everyone, my mom and aunts would all pick up little odds and ends throughout the year and wrap them up, labeling them “boy, girl, man or woman”. Then, we’d play bingo for hours, and the winner could choose a gift.
