Last weekend my husband and I headed to the Fairgrounds in Syracuse NY for the 2013 PPG Syracuse Nationals, and it was tons of fun!  When I was offered tickets to attend in exchange for a review I knew my husband would enjoy it, but I am not nearly as much of a car buff as he is, so I wasn’t as excited.  But now that I have been I realize it is not just for people who rebuild classic cars, it is for everyone who has ever driven a car.

The cars ranged from classic muscle cars to souped up hot rods.  And with over 7000 cars on display there is no way to see them all.  We discovered my husband and I have totally different taste in cars. I like the 1950s Chevrolet BelAirs the best, because the shape and styling just appealed to me.

My husband was much more interested in engines, and he likes these stripped down roadsters with the engines exposed and easy to work on.

There were also some really unusual vehicles, like a Frankenstein car and this Log Dog Truck, which made growling noises and was literally chained to a post to keep it from escaping!

The amount of time, energy and money that goes into restoring and maintaining these cars is impressive.  This show is the largest in the North East, and I can see why families return year after year, both to exhibit their cars and to just walk around and dream.

  1. Attorneys also contribute to the development of the law itself. Through their work in landmark cases and legal scholarship, they shape legal interpretations, challenge existing norms, and help evolve the legal landscape. Their role as legal scholars and advocates for justice extends beyond individual cases.avokat
