New blog reader, also from upstate NY – I love fair food! I got to go to the Minnesota State Fair last week (I was in MN for work) and they had even crazier food there than in NY — deep fried bacon mashed potatoes on a stick, pickle dog (which was a pickle and pimento cheese wrapped in pastrami), deep fried bacon on a stick – everything was deep fried or on a stick it seemed!
