We spent some time over the weekend driving around on truck trails through a state forest. My family took the opportunity to search for wild raspberries and blackberries along the road.
They found quite a few, and amazingly no one came down with poison ivy after all the climbing through the bushes!
Those raspberries are just beautiful! It looks like you all had fun!
I miss having wild raspberries within walking distance. I loved finding them as a kid!
I would be worried about the poison ivy for sure!
We love picking raspberries at the farm. I haven’t seen any wild ones around here.
Good to hear that no one got sick or caught poison ivy. Those raspberries must have tasted good!
At our previous house, we had wild blackberries in our backyard. I had to wrestle the bushes to get them too.
I miss the raspberry bushes we had in our yard in Colorado.
I remember searching for wild berries when I was a kid growing up in Michigan… now, I usually just go to the store. I need to take the kids to a berry picking farm for sure.
Mmm, how yummy! We’ve been picking blackberries!
Yum! I wish I knew of a berry patch around here, my favorite one was mowed down several years back :/ looks like a great day!
raspberries are one of the best things about summer!
