I’m sure we all have a “Honey-do” list of things for our husband to do, and I’m sure there are a few things on your list that have been there for ages, and yet never get done. We moved into this house almost 2 years ago, and we had a list of things we wanted to fix ASAP. Two years later lots of them are still on the list, and showing no signs of progress.
Here is my list:
1. Put up ceiling tile around the edges of the basement. We have the tiles, the middle of the ceiling is done, but the edges are still empty holes.
2. Strip the peeling finish off the deck and re-stain it. This chore probably can’t be put off much longer, the stain is peeling badly now.
3. Build shelves in the utility room so we can store things in an organized fashion. Right now finding anything in the utility room is difficult, since there are boxes everywhere. I know I have summer clothes for the kids in here somewhere, if only I can find them.
4. Cut down the dead trees. This is the (dead) cherry tree in our front yard. We also have a bunch of white pines that are dead or dying.
5. Put up a closet rod in the laundry room for hanging up clothes as they come out of the dryer and so we can use it to hang wet coats and snow suits in the winter. This one is simple! It would take 30 minutes! My husband doesn’t want to do it because he is planning to completely re-do the laundry room, but I’m sure laundry room renovation is actually years away.
