Since I homeschool my son you wouldn’t think that getting out of the house quickly in the morning is a problem for us. And it isn’t – except on Mondays. Monday we go to a homeschool co-op, and we always seem to be running behind, searching for assignments, trying to pack a lunch and generally being disorganized and barely getting out the door in time. It makes me glad we only have to do this once a week! So I need something that is both quick and filling for breakfast on Mondays, because it is a long and hectic day for us.
Tyson Breakfast Bread Bowls are a great solution. They are a quick and hearty microwavable breakfast that is ready in about 2 minutes. A few weeks ago I headed to Sam’s Club to pick some up so we could try them. You can see all the details from my shopping trip in my Google Plus album here.
Last Monday we tried them out for breakfast, and they were indeed quick and easy to make. I like the fact that the instructions on how to cook them are right on the plastic wrapper. It is much more convenient than reading the box.
There are two Bread Bowls in each wrapper, so it is perfect for my son and I. The instructions say to cook for 50 seconds, and we found we needed about an additional 20 seconds in our microwave. Inside the bread bowl is a nicely seasoned mixture of egg, sausage and cheese, and they taste delicious.
Tyson also makes a Bread Bowl with bacon, although our Sam’s Club only had the sausage ones. I will be keeping an eye out for the bacon ones though, because I love bacon even more than sausage. If you are looking for a quick breakfast option for busy mornings these make a great choice, and with a side of fruit and a glass of milk you have a complete and filling breakfast that is ready in a flash!
