My 18 year old daughter loves scarves, and always seems to want to get more. I understand this, because scarves make a great fashion accessory and add style to any outfit. And when it comes to scarves nothing is better than one made of silk. Silk is such a gorgeous natural product and surprisingly warm. Cambodian Threads sent me their Fair Trade Silk Scarf in black and red to review, and I know my daughter is going to love it.
Cambodian Threads is a socially responsible company that offers fair trade silk crafts from Cambodia. Products are handcrafted in a sweat-free environment by the Hengs, a family of artisans from a rural village in Cambodia. Cambodian Threads purchases the goods from the artisans for a fair price, and then donates a portion of each sale to fund Educational Development projects in Cambodia. I like knowing that artisans are being well treated and rewarded for their effort!
The scarf is gorgeous. It is make of raw silk and is soft and light weight. I love the colors in the scarf, it has stripes of red and black, and stripes in which there is a nice mix of the two colors. The red color is very rich and vibrant, and the scarf has small fringes on each end. It is about 79 inches long, so it is the perfect length for almost any use.
In addition to scarfs in a variety of colors Cambodian Threads also sells silk ties and small silk bags. All of these products would make excellent holiday presents, and right now Cambodian Threads is offering a special holiday discount. Just enter the code holidays right before checkout at www.cambodianthreads.com to save 15% on any order.
I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
