I hope everyone had a great Christmas! We had a good time, and everything went smoothly other than a few people feeling under the weather. We still have a lot of ham and turkey left, although all the side dishes are gone. We ended up with a 22 pound turkey and a 10 pound ham, […]
Christmas Cookies
We love to make Christmas cookies. So far we have made chocolate chip and Hershey’s Kiss cookies. Today we are making brownies, Rice Krispie treats and snickerdoodles. Then tomorrow we will make sugar cookies and gingerbread to decorate on Thursday. Here is our Hershey’s Kiss cookie recipe:

Menu Plan Monday
We have another busy week here leading up to Christmas, making the dinner hour hectic, but at least my daughter’s college classes are over for the semester. Unfortunately more snow is coming starting tonight, so I’ve got to get all my shopping done today. Monday – Southwestern Pork Stew with cornbread Tuesday – Pasta with […]
Pomegranate Pork Tenderloin
I made this last week based on a recipe at allrecipes.com, my favorite online site for getting recipes. I had to change it up because we were out of some of the ingredients, but it turned out pretty good. The sauce made a nice addition to the meal, since pork can get kind of […]
Clam and Corn Chowder Recipe

Aunt Anna’s Dressing
With Thanksgiving coming up I figured I should post my great Aunt Anna’s dressing recipe. My great Aunt was born in 1892, died in 1971 and never married. This was her prize recipe, and she used to make it at home and carry it on the New York City subway, in a big jar, […]
Coconut Cream Concentrate Review
I have been reviewing products from Tropical Traditions for a while now, and the latest is Coconut Cream Concentrate. This is not a product I’ve used before, so I was curious to see how Coconut Cream Concentrate tasted. So when it first came I tried a spoonful right out of the jar, and it had […]
Menu Plan Monday
I cleaned out the freezer this weekend, so the menus this week are designed to use up all the things I had forgotten I had. There was lots of chicken in the freezer, so we are having that twice this week, even though it is not my husband’s favorite. But we should have a pretty […]
