Babies is an exciting new movie opening Mother’s Day weekend. It simultaneously chronicles the lives of four of the world’s newest inhabitants – in Mongolia, Namibia, San Francisco and Tokyo, respectively – from birth to first steps. Here is one of the four babies from the film, Ponijao This looks like an incredibly cute film, […]
My family loves to play board games, and we own many different games. We try to have family game night at least once a week, and love to play games when we have extended family over. So I jumped at the chance to review Backseat Drawing from Out of the Box. This game was very […]
I received a copy of The 3-Day Cleanse by Zoe Sakoutis and Erica Huss to review. Cleansing allows the digestive system to rest so you can rid yourself of the toxins everyone accumulates, whether from unhealthy eating or simply from our environment. This book offers a customized program based on your own personal health and […]

Last month I was fortunate to win a giveaway for Chobani Greek Yogurt. I was sent 2 full size 6 oz. yogurts, and 6 of the 4 oz. kids yogurts. I enjoy greek yogurt, because it is thicker and creamier than regular yogurt. But I had never tried this brand before, so I was anxious […]
We have been piano shopping for a few weeks, and finally over the weekend settled on a new Yamaha T118 piano. It is arrived today, and my 17 year old who plays is very excited. She has been playing on a digital keyboard for a few years now, since we got rid of our very […]
I had heard lots of good things about The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins, but I kept avoiding reading it. The plot sounded depressing, so I just kept putting it off. I finally picked up a copy at the library last week, and, wow, I loved this book. It was so exciting I couldn’t put […]
Yesterday was my birthday, so my daughter made me a cake to celebrate. She meant it to be decorated in pastel flowers, but I guess the food coloring was too strong, and it ended up being bright flowers. My husband got me 3 cookbooks, looks like he is expecting some exotic cooking in the next […]
My son got a bunch of Kapla blocks for Christmas, and he used them to build this snowman. Of course we still have plenty of snow outside, so I’m not sure why he felt the need to make a snowman inside. The Kapla blocks are very nice, you can make detailed structures with them. Here […]
While my youngest two play in the snow with the dog my oldest is stuck snow blowing the driveway. It is great to have a teenager who can do these kind of chores.
I just hit 150 followers today, so it is time for a new giveaway to celebrate. I’m giving away a $25 movie card, the winner can choose either $25 to Regal cinemas or $25 to Cinemark. I’ve had a lot of luck in the past year winning movie tickets, so it is time to spread […]
My doll house project is continuing slowly. I did finish grouting the entry hall floor, so that is done. I also pulled a lot of stuff out of boxes and files to see what I had. Naturally there are things I was sure I had that I can’t find, and some things I don’t ever […]
Well here is my current update on the on-going doll house project. The craft table is cleaned off and the doll house is out of the utility room. In the process of doing this I discovered it is filthy, and the tile floor has come unglued. So this week my plan is to clean it, […]
My son won 1st place in his cub scout pack at the pinewood derby on Saturday! He was very excited, and here is is winning car, with the trophy and ribbon. They got nice trophies this year, I guess one of the Dad’s has a metal shop and helped the kids make the trophies.
OK, here goes, I’m trying blogging.
