I love coffee, but there is one person in my family who enjoys coffee more than I do, my 19 year old daughter Grace. She has been away at college this year, so I haven’t had anyone at home to enjoy a cup of coffee with. But her classes ended this week, so now she is back at home with the family for the summer. One of the first things I did when she got home was to head to Walmart to buy all of her favorite foods, which includes Natural Bliss Creamers from Coffee Mate. You can see the entire story of my shopping trip in my Google Plus photo album.
Both Grace and I love Natural Bliss because it has only 4 ingredients, and all of them are natural.
While I was at Walmart I checked out the ingredient list for another creamer brand, and it had about 9 ingredients, including things like hydrogenated soybean oil and cellulose gum, and plenty of other things I couldn’t pronounce (or spell). I don’t see any reason to use stuff like that in my coffee, especially when cream tastes so good!
I usually buy the Vanilla Natural Bliss, and this time I got the Sweet Cream too. After trying them both I like the Vanilla best, because it adds just enough flavor to the cream to make it taste more exotic. Natural Bliss also comes in Carmel and Low Fat Vanilla, although my store doesn’t stock them. I am going to keep my eye out for the Low Fat Vanilla though, since I wouldn’t mind cutting a few calories from my daily cup of coffee. Of course I’d probably just add twice as much cream, so calories would come out the same!
You can print out a coupon for Natural Bliss here, which will let you save $1 on two bottles. I forgot to print mine out before I went to the store, but I already printed one for my next visit.
When I got home from the store I brewed some coffee for Grace and I to share and opened up the Vanilla Natural Bliss. It tasted delicious and the flavor of the cream enhances the coffee’s taste.
The next day we made an iced coffee drink, by brewing the coffee, chilling it, and serving it over ice with lots of Natural Bliss Creamer. It wasn’t fancy but it tasted great!
