I was provided an all expense paid trip by Disney to Los Angeles. All opinions are my own.
While in LA early this month I had a chance to visit Disneyland and see the new Thor: Treasures of Asgard exhibit, which opened in November! If you have seen the movie you know that the Bifrost or Rainbow Bridge is a cosmic bridge that allows Thor to travel between the Nine Realms, including Earth. Well the Bifrost has opened again, and the opening is conveniently located in the Innoventions building at Disneyland!
So naturally my fellow bloggers and I had to check it out while we were there and see all the genuine Asgardian artifacts like Loki’s helmet, swords from Sif and some of the Warriors Three, and even the chains used to imprison Loki. As part of the exhibit you can even choose to travel across the Bifrost and visit Odin’s throne room!
It was lots of fun, and Thor was in the Throne room when we visited and posed for pictures with all of us! He did ask about the “Free Loki” t-shirts that all the bloggers were wearing, and he seemed a little confused that we were such big fans of his brother! So check out the exhibit if you are visiting Disneyland.
While were visiting we were able to ride a bunch of rides, including Haunted Mansion, Indiana Jones, Space Mountain, Buzz Lightyear and Soaring. I have only been to Disneyland once before, when I was thirteen, and I didn’t remember much about it, so it was all like new to me! It was especially nice to see all the holiday decorations. It was early November, so there was both Halloween and some Christmas decorations around.
Disneyland always does a special things for the Holidays, and starting Nov. 12th they include all of their traditional Holiday favorites along with some new additions this year:
World of Color – Winter Dreams premieres Nov. 15. This is an all-new, holidays version of the very popular “World of Color” nighttime, water spectacular at Disney California Adventure Park.
Disney ¡Viva Navidad! – This new celebration, inspired by Latino culture and celebrations, features music, food, dancing and an exciting Street Party multiple times a day. It begins Nov. 15 at Disney California Adventure. This precedes our Jan. 3-6 Dia De Los Reyes celebration for Three Kings Day.
Jingle Cruise -The Jungle Cruise skippers decorate for the Holidays and add some fun new jokes to their riverboat tour, at Disneyland Park.
Sounds like it will be great holiday season at Disneyland! I think Space Mountain was my favorite ride, what do you like best?
Wow it looks like you must have had a great time!
What a fun time!
That sounds like so much fun! I would love to be able to go and do this, wish I didn’t live so far away!
That looks like a jam packed trip and so much fun!
I really want to go to Disneyland for their holiday event. The Thor exhibit looks amazing.
How fun! That had to be so cool to see!!
How fun!! I haven’t been to Disneyland in so so long.
Sounds like a fun time! Too funny there was a mix between Christmas and Halloween decorations! Maybe like Nightmare Before Christmas!
My favorite ride was always Pirates of the Carribean.
COOL! Looks like a blast!
That looks like so much fun. And I really want to see that movie. Haven’t had a chance to see it yet.
I especially love seeing all this holiday decor in the park. That makes me happy!!! (And isn’t that guy a darn good knock-off?)
Looks like you had an amazing time! I was never there around Christmas. It looks beautiful. And Thor…He’s make a nice Christmas gift for mommy! (hee-hee).
How neat is that! Seems like you went at the perfect time of the year to visit Disneyland.
I haven’t been to DisneyLand yet, wanna get there one day
