Fall is the best time of year for pies. But making a pie can be a time consuming process when you do everything from scratch, so it is something I only do for special holidays. But for everyday enjoyment an effortless pie like this Mini Caramel Apple Pie is perfect!
These pies are a great size for a quick snack, because they are easy to make and don’t get the whole kitchen messy. The secret to making these tiny pies is to combine a few pre-made ingredients for maximum flavor. Â To make my pies I usedÂ KeeblerÂ® Ready CrustÂ® Mini Graham Cracker Pie Crust for the crust,Â DannonÂ® Greek Yogurt,Â Light & FitÂ® Greek Apple Pie Yogurt for the filling andÂ Reddi-wipÂ® to top it all off.
I picked up my ingredients at Walmart, where I found a special Effortless Desserts Display right by the yogurt in the dairy section. I also added a few things to my pie to make them extra tasty.
First I combined the Apple Pie Yogurt with a little bit of cream cheese, and used it to fill the pie crusts. Â Then I added sliced apples on top of the yogurt, with whipped cream on top. Â I topped the pies off with pecans and caramel sauce for an easy and tasty dessert.
My kids loved these pies! They are the perfect size for an afternoon snack that won’t leave you too full for dinner.
- 2 containers Greek Yogurt
- 3 oz. cream cheese
- 6 Mini Graham Cracker Pie Crust
- 1 apple
- Whipped cream
- Caramel sauce
- Chopped pecans
- Put the yogurt and cream cheese in a mixer and beat until well mixed.
- Spoon the mixture into 6 mini pie crusts.
- Peel and core the apple.
- Add 3 apple pieces to each pie.
- Top with whipped cream.
- Spoon on some caramel sauce and sprinkle with pecans.
