Meal planning is not one of my favorite chores! It takes quite a bit of time to plan out a week’s worth of meals and make a shopping list, and make sure that everything is balanced and not too repetitive. So I have been glad to outsource this task for the past few months to eMeals.
Their slogan is “Meal Planning Made Simple†and they deliver on that promise! Every week you receive a meal plan with 7 meals all planned out, complete with side dishes and a grocery list. Here is how it works:
They offer a huge variety of meal plans, something that will fit every family’s eating style. Here is a list of their dinner plans:
- Classic Meals
- Clean Eating
- Simple Gourmet
- Low Carb
- Low Fat
- Portion Control
- Natural and Organic
- Gluten Free
- 3 months for $21
- 6 months for $35.00
- 1 year for $58.00
- They also offer plans designed around the sales at specific stores, like Aldis, Kroger or Safeway. They even offer breakfast and lunch plans too. I decided to go with the Paleo plan, because even though we don’t eat a strict Paleo diet I like the food options this plan provides. The meals I have made have been very popular with my family, and we are eating a larger variety of foods too. Here is a picture of a recipe I made a few weeks ago, Sausage and Spinach Stuffed Portobellos with Red Pepper Tomato Sauté.
This was a great meal with a combination of flavors that I would never have though to put together on my own! It looks complicated too, but it really wasn’t, and only took 15 minutes of hands on preparation, and another 30 minutes to cook.
eMeals offers three subscription options:
So it really doesn’t cost much for a the benefits that you get. My favorite part is the shopping lists, which are well organized and ensure that I don’t have to run out to the store for last minute shopping! This is such a big time saver for me, and knowing what I am making for dinner every night takes stress out of my day.
