The Holiday season means lots of entertaining! It seems like there are parties and events all the time this time of year, both formal and informal. I like to have some simple appetizers that I can make without too much time or effort to try and reduce the stress of the Holiday season. This Greek Olive Bread is a great example since it combines some simple ingredients into a delicious holiday appetizer.
I put together ingredients I bought at my local Price Chopper grocery store for this recipe. I used Pillsbury Pizza Crust as the base, which is much easier than making my own dough. This time of year I need shortcuts like ready to use dough to keep entertaining manageable.
Mayonnaise and butter are combined to make a rich and creamy sauce for the pizza dough. I topped the dough with Lindsay Green Olives, which are natural and add delicious flavor to the bread.
Olives are one of my favorite vegetables, and I like to eat them whole and use them in cooking. To go with the olives I used feta cheese to top it all off. The flavor of the olives, mayonnaise and feta cheese blend together after cooking for a rich and delicious flavor that is perfect for holiday entertaining.
