I have blogged about my love for iced coffee before, and how much I enjoy the convenience of being able to have a carton in the refrigerator and drink it any time! Now that the warm weather is here there is nothing more refreshing to drink than iced coffee. The last time I went to Sam’s Club I found that they are now carrying the International Delights Mocha Iced Coffee in their dairy section.
They sell a double pack of the drinks, which is fabulous because my oldest daughter and I go through it fast!
The day I was shopping, Sam’s was having an International Delights demo, and giving out free samples.
Even though I already knew I liked it I had a sample anyway, since it is always fun to sample while you shop. They were serving the Iced Coffee with breakfast sandwiches, so it make for a nice snack. I finished my shopping trip with lots of groceries, including some whipped cream to go with the coffee.
You can see all the details from my shopping trip with lots more pictures in my Google + Album.
When I got home my oldest daughter asked me to make her an iced coffee drink before she went to work. I decided to make a Frozen Mocha Almond Drink, and here is the recipe.
Frozen Mocha Almond Iced Coffee Drink
- 2 cups ice
- 1 cup International Delight Mocha Iced Coffee
- 1/4 c. heavy cream
- 2 T. Chocolate Syrup
- 1 t. Almond Extract
- whipped cream
- slivered almonds
- First I filled the blender with 2 cups of ice and added 1 cup of Mocha Iced Coffee.
- Next I added 1/4 c. of cream, along with the almond extract and 2 Tablespoons of chocolate syrup. It looks good already!
- Then I blended it up, and topped if off with the whipped cream, slivered almonds and a cherry.
It tasted as good as it looked!
