I received the Ozeri 3x 44′ Tower Fan to review, and it works well. This tower fan really moves a lot of air, and does a great job of keeping the air circulating.
All my kids sleep with fans running. They like the air moving during the night, and they like the white noise which helps drown out other sounds and let them sleep soundly. I set this up in my son’s bedroom, because he has a loft bed and a standard fan doesn’t really get air moving that high up. He like the fact that he can actually feel a cool breeze from this fan, even all the way up at the ceiling. He also likes he remote control that comes with the fan, because he can turn it off and on from his bed.
The fan as another benefit I hadn’t considered – the constant air motion helps keep the room less smelly. My son is 15, and he sweats a lot. I don’t think many things smell as bad as active teenage boys! And like many teens he tends to keep his dirty clothes heaped in piles on the floor, which after a few days can result in a quite an unpleasant smell. The fan helps keep the air circulating, which disperses the smell and makes the room more bearable until he runs his laundry.
The fan is quite nice looking, and even though it is tall it is very slim and fits easily into a corner. There are 3 fans in the tower, and each one can be controlled independently, so there are 9 levels of cooling available. It also has 3 pre-programmed airflow patterns, designed to foster sleep, relaxation, and comfort. It is quite quite, with blades that are designed to reduce blade noise so you just hear the sounds of airflow.
This fan could cool quite a large area, and would certainly work in a much larger room than my son’s bedroom. I actually wanted this for my daughter to use in her non-air conditioned apartment this summer, but I don’t know if my son be willing to give it up when warm weather gets here! You can find the Ozeri 3x Tower Fan on Amazon.com.
