I reviewed Peeled Snacks last year, and they are still a favorite of mine. Dried fruit is a sweet snack that you don’t have to feel guilty about eating. Last year I had to order Peeled Snacks online, but now they are available in one of my local stores, which is convenient. I had a little trouble finding them in the store, since they were with the fresh fruits and vegetables, which was not where I thought they would be!
I chose the Much-Ado-About-Mango flavor to try, and they were excellent. They had a strong mango taste, and I liked that they were soft and chewy and not hard. Dried apples or bananas are good, but I prefer to get something different, so I appreciate the variety of flavors.
There was only one drawback to Peeled Snacks – the price. It figures that you can get a bag of potato chips for less than a dollar, but a healthy snack like this costs you more. These were $3.49 for a bag, and a bag has two servings. So getting these for a family will cost a lot more than junk food. Unfortunately it does seem like our grocery bill has gets larger the more organic things I buy!
You can find Peeled Snacks at many grocery stores in New York or New Jersey, or order them online from Peeled Snacks. If you order online you can use the code "SheSpeaks" for $10 off your order! That certainly makes them more affordable, and the code is good until February 28th.
