Of course, this appetizer needs a dipping partner. Marinara sauce is my family’s favorite, but ranch dressing or a creamy garlic dip are delicious, too. This is a fabulous party appetizer or after-school snack. You can also make it a main course—it is hearty enough.

In this blog post, I’ll walk you through the step-by-step process of making this delicious snack and share my best tips for perfect pepperoni bread.

🥣How to Make Cheesy Pepperoni Bread

  1. Unroll the crescent roll dough and press lightly on the perforations to pinch the seams together.
  2. Add the pepperoni slices to the top of the dough, leaving a little bit of space around the edges. Top the pepperoni with the mozzarella cheese.
  3. Roll the dough up tightly.
  4. Place the cheesy pepperoni bread on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or in your air fryer basket.
  5. If you’re using an oven, bake the bread at 350 degrees F for 15-20 minutes or until the top is golden brown. If you’re using an air fryer, cook the bread for 8-10 minutes at 360 degrees F.
  6. Brush the top of the bread with melted butter, then sprinkle on the Italian seasoning.

🍴Serving Ideas

Let your cheesy pepperoni bread cool slightly before you slice and serve it. Add marinara sauce or ranch dressing for dipping and serve it as an appetizer at your next party. It’s sure to be a hit with kids and adults alike!

Pair it with a side salad for a quick and easy lunch or dinner. The combination of crispy bread, melty cheese, and spicy pepperoni will satisfy any craving.

💭How to Store

Wrap any leftover bread tightly in plastic wrap or aluminum foil. Place the wrapped bread in an airtight container or resealable plastic bag. Store the bread in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. If you want to keep it longer than that, you can freeze it for up to 1 month.

To reheat the bread, place it in the oven or air fryer at 350 degrees for minutes or until it’s heated through and the cheese is melty again. If you’re reheating it from frozen, add a few extra minutes to the cooking time.

⭐Tips

Be sure to check out the step by step instructions

  • Pinch the seams of the crescent roll dough together well. The cheese and pepperoni might leak out during baking if there are any gaps or holes.
  • Experiment with different types of cheese or even add some extra toppings like sliced black olives or chopped bell peppers. Just be careful not to overload the bread, or it might be hard to roll up.
  • If the bread browns too quickly on top, you can cover it loosely with foil for the last few minutes of baking.
  • Let the bread cool for a few minutes before slicing it. This will give the cheese time to set up and make it easier to slice without everything falling apart.
  • If you’re making this bread for a party or gathering, you can easily double or triple the recipe to feed a crowd. Use a larger baking sheet or air fryer basket to accommodate the extra bread.
