Let’s face it, buying Christmas presents for little kids is easy. There are so many creative toys that it is no problem finding something to buy. But for teens and adults it is much harder. Gift cards are not very personal, and finding something to appeal to a picky teenager can be tough, especially on a limited budget. So I was glad to find the creative t-shirts at Royal Dynamite.
This company prides itself on being a socially responsible t-shirt line, which embraces the idea of “Collaborative Style for Awareness†through partnerships with other businesses, brands and artists to support education and various social causes. The t-shirts aren’t based on the latest hot singer or trendy TV show, they are designed to be a dynamic walking art exhibition inspired and designed by the customer. They regularly run contests on Facebook to encourage their customers to submit new t-shirt designs.
I received two t-shirts for my daughters, and I am very impressed with them.
The first is a scoop neck blue t-shirt with the Royal Dynamite logo. This has quickly become one of my 16 year old’s favorite shirts, because it is comfortable and unique. She likes to wear things that are different from everyone else so she stands out. She has gotten a number of comments and questions about the shirt from friends too.
The second shirt is my favorite, a white “I got my eyes on you!†shirt. This is very clever, since “eyes†is written in the symbols of different currencies, so it can also be read “I got my money on you!â€Â This shirt is for my 19 year old, but since she is away at college my 16 year old modeled this one too. The shirts are 100% cotton and made in the USA.
I just love the unique designs and messages that the the t-shirts have. Here are two more of my favorites, Crown Me Awkward and Roll the Dice.
These would make a great gift if you are looking for something different, that can’t be found at every mall in the country. And most of the company’s shirts retail for around $15-$20, so the price is quite reasonable and won’t break the bank.
I think it is important for companies to give back, and Royal Dynamite has made it a cornerstone of their business. They have a One-for-One give back program, which means for every Royal Dynamite t-Âshirt bought, they donate an Educational Care package to a child in need. One of the company founders was forced to flee civil war in Sierra Leone as a child, and the give back program will help children in both Sierra Leone and the United States.
