Popcorn is practically a staple food in my house – between me, my husband and our three kids it is a rare night when someone doesn’t decide to make popcorn! This weekend we had a family movie night featuring spicy Srirach Lime Popcorn. The popcorn was perfect for enjoying during an action filled science fiction movie!
The popcorn is easy to make using ACT II Butter Lovers’s microwave popcorn as a base. I have made spicy popcorn before, but this is the first time I have added lime to popcorn and it really gave the popcorn a nice kick, and the mild lime flavor complemented the spicy hot sauce.
To make the popcorn I melted some butter, stirred in some Green Sriracha sauce, and zested and juiced an entire lime. This made a very tasty topping that I drizzled over the ACT II Popcorn and served.
The popcorn took only a few minutes to make, and I was able to zest and juice the lime while the popcorn popped. I like easy, no fuss snacks like this for family movie nights! We were all ready to settle in and munch on our snack while we relaxed and enjoyed the movie.

Since my husband is all about the spicy stuff, I am sure he would love this recipe! It would make for some good movie night munching.
Yum! This is the perfect way to kick up butter popcorn. I can’t wait to give this a try.
We love popcorn in our house too. I could be dangerous at a popcorn demo!
Oh wow, I would have never thought to use these ingredients on popcorn. Sounds amazing though!
I’ll have to see if my eldest son likes this one more than the Cajun inspired popcorn I made recently. He complained that it wasn’t spicy enough!
What an interesting combination of flavors! This would be an absolute hit in my home!
Oh yummy- Popcorn is one of our favorite Summer snacks and I bet this flavor combo is delicious, I can just see the flavor on the kernels! We’ll have to head to Sam’s Club and stock up on Act II!
I am pretty sure I have never had spicy popcorn. This sounds delicious for a movie date night with my husband! #client
