Stanley Steemer Gift Certificate Review and Giveaway

Dirt never quits!  It is the time of year for spring cleaning, but there are some things that you just can’t clean for yourself, which is when it is time to call in the experts.  Vacuuming is important, but it doesn’t remove all the grime, dirt, and dust that get tracked into the house.  So every year or so we like to get our carpets professionally cleaned, and this year we used Stanley Steemer for the cleaning.

They use proprietary equipment and claim that their cleaning processes remove more than 98% of dry soil from floors. They certainly gets the carpets cleaner than I can with a vacuum!  In addition they also do hardwood, tile, air ducts, water damage restoration.  We just wanted the carpets done, so I went to the website, https://www.stanleysteemer.com/, and scheduled an appointment.  It was very convenient to schedule it online, and I could easily see the appointment times that were available and pick the one that worked for my schedule. 

They arrived right on time to clean my carpets, after calling first to verify the appointment with me.  I was surprised that there was only one crew member in the van, but he knew what he was doing.  He got everything set up and check the rooms that I wanted cleaned and got to work.  We had the living room, master bedroom and basement family room cleaned.  The basement room is huge, probably about 800 square feet, and it took the longest to clean.  Overall it took about an hour and a half for Stanley Steemer to do the three rooms.

The carpets look much cleaner, and the small stains that were visible are gone, so we are happy with the results!  It took about 24 hours for the carpets to completely dry, and the Stanley Steemer employee did a good job of explaining when we could walk on them and move the furniture.  The total cost of the cleaning was about $180, since we had to pay extra for the basement and a walk in closet in the master bedroom, and I though the price was reasonable.  Having the carpets cleaned makes a big difference in the way the house looks and feels.
