Avengers Augmented Reality App at Walmart #MarvelAvengersWMT

My kids loved The Avengers movie, which is no surprise since the movie was so popular it set box office records everywhere.  I thought it was very fun too, and we have been looking forward to seeing it again on DVD as a family. The kids also love gadgets, so when I heard that Walmart had a special Augmented Reality App I knew my children would enjoy going to Walmart and playing with the app for some Avengers family fun.

Labor Day Weekend Family Game Night and Picnic

My oldest daughter, Grace, decided to come home from college for the holiday weekend, and even better she brought her roommate, Ashley, with her.  They wanted to get away from schoolwork and relax for a little while. This called for some family fun, so we planned a Family Game Night picnic

Renting LOL at Redbox for a Teenage Movie Night

My sixteen year old daughter Eleanor is a huge Miley Cyrus fan.  She watched every episode of Hannah Montana multiple times.  She owns all her albums, and when her first movie, The Last Song, came out she went to see it in the theaters with her friends for her birthday party. So naturally she was interested in seeing the new movie starring Miley, LOL, which was just released on DVD.

NCAA Football 13 Review with a Giveaway

ncaa13 football game

NCAA Football 13 was released last week, and my son wanted a copy to try out all the new features and manage his online Dynasty team.  The game was released a few days before he left for a week at Boy Scout camp, and he wasn’t expecting to get it until he got back, but I thought it would be fun to get it beforehand and play it together as a family. So I headed off to Walmart to pick up a copy.

Planning Summer Fun

Summer is here and it is time to grab summer fun! With the Fourth of July approaching it makes sense to celebrate, so I planned a little Independence Day/Pool Party party for my family. The first step – buying party supplies of course!

So I headed to the store with my 16 year old daughter, who loves to plan celebrations. The first thing we needed were some more pool toys.  Our rafts did not make it through the winter, but these ones look like fun.

Oatmeal Muffin

I am always looking for ways to add more protein to my children’s diet. My fifteen year old recently decided she won’t eat beef or pork, so it is becoming even more challenging, since chicken and eggs get boring after a while! She loves orange juice, but that is mostly sugar and doesn’t provide any protein at all.  So naturally I was interested in the new Silk Fruit&Protein drink.

This product is a like a fruit juice with added protein, and it is easy to find in the dairy section of the store, with all the milk.  It comes in three flavors, Mango Peach, Mixed Berry and Strawberry Banana.  I knew that the Strawberry Banana flavor would be most appealing to my children.
