Our dogs, Ziggy and Dodger, love Christmas! There is so much excitement around the house, with guests to greet, boxes to sniff and trees inside the house. So we always make sure that our Christmas celebration includes special things just for them and that they have presents under the tree. Sometimes they get a new bed or a nice collar, and they always get toys and treats, like this Purina Busy Bone.
Wrapping up a package for the pups is a great way to include them in the holiday fun! This year we decided to include some dog treats in the holiday decorations too. We took some of the dogs’ favorite treats – Purina Beggin Strips – and strung them with ornaments to make a fun garland for the tree.
It was easy to make, we simply tied some twine around the Beggin Strips and added ornaments to the twine.
We can take the treats off one at a time throughout the month to give to the dogs. The dogs noticed right away that there was something good on the tree, so we had to put the garland up high to keep it out of reach!
To distract the dogs from the interesting smelling tree we let them have their Busy Bones now instead of waiting for Christmas, which they appreciated!
The dogs love the chewy bone with the meaty center, and I know they will enjoy them again on Christmas! It is always nice to give gifts that will be appreciated, and it is pretty easy to figure out what the doggies want for Christmas!
Don’t forget your pets this holiday season, because they show you their love all year long, and should be part of the holidays!
