– chicken drumsticks – buttermilk – flour – paprika – salt & pepper

INGREDIENTS FOR CHICKEN

INGREDIENTS FOR GOCHUJANG SAUCE 

– gochujang paste – sesame oil – cider vinegar – soy sauce – Worcestershire sauce – yellow mustard – honey – garlic powder

STEP 1

Put the chicken in a bowl and cover with buttermilk. Let it soak 12-24 hours.

While it soaks mix all the sauce ingredients together and refrigerate the sauce.

Combine the flour and spices and dredge the chicken in the mixture to coat.

Air dry the chicken on a wire rack for 10-15 minutes.

STEP 5

Spray with oil and air fry at 380 F for 20 minutes.

Flip the drumsticks over halfway through the cooking time.

Coat the chicken with the gochujang sauce. 

A traditional Korean way to serve this is in a lettuce wrap, called ssam. Line a lettuce leaf with rice, Asian slaw and Korean fried chicken. Spoon extra sauce over the top.
