Dilly Beans Recipe

Turn fresh summer green beans and dill into tasty pickles with this quick dilly beans recipe.

Wash the beans and slice the stem ends off. Cut them to fit in your dilly bean jars.

Bring a pot of water to a boil and cook the beans for 1  minute. Then place them in ice water to cool.

Combine vinegar, water, sugar, salt, peppercorns and red pepper flakes to make a brine. Heat until the salt and sugar dissolve. Let the brine cool.

Put the beans and dill sprigs in the jar along with some slices of garlic.

Pour the cooled brine to fill the jar.

Add a lid to the jar and refrigerate. Store your dilly beans for about 4 days before eating.

The beans from this dilly bean recipe will keep for about 1 month in the frig.
