Red, White and Blue Poke Cake

This Red, White and Blue Poke Cake is perfect for Memorial Day! It will be the hit of your holiday weekend cookout.

INGREDIENTS

Box white cake mix Ingredients to make cake mix        (egg whites, oil, water) Cherry or strawberry Jello Blueberry Jello Water Whipped topping Strawberries Blueberries

STEP 1 Make the cake mix as directed on the box. 

STEP 2 Pour the batter in a 9 x 13 inch pan and bake at 350 F for 30-35 minutes. Let it cool for 20 minutes.

STEP 3 Mix the red jello with 1 cup boiling water and 1/2 cup cold water. Repeat with the blue jello.

STEP 4 Use the end of wooden spoon to poke holes in the cake. Spoon jello into the holes, alternating red and blue. Refrigerate the cake for 3 hours.

STEP 7 Use the whipped topping to frost the cake. Then arrange blueberries and strawberries to make a flag pattern.
