Southern Blueberry Cobbler

This old fashioned blueberry cobbler has a flaky biscuit topping with lots of juicy blueberries poking through the crust. Get berry juices and blueberries in every bite.

Make this classic summer dessert with fresh blueberries or frozen ones.

INGREDIENTS

Blueberries Lemon juice White sugar Flour Cinnamon Baking powder Salt Butter Milk

STEP 1 Clean the blueberries and add them to a big bowl. Spray a 13 x 9 inch baking dish with cooking spray.

STEP 2 Add lemon juice, sugar, 1 tablespoon of flour and cinnamon to the blueberries and toss them to mix. Put them in the baking dish.

STEP 3 Combine the remaining flour, sugar, baking powder and salt in a bowl. Add cubes of butter.

STEP 4 Cut the butter into the flour mixture until it resembles small crumbs. Use a pastry cutter or a fork to mix it.

STEP 5 Add the milk and stir until it forms a thick batter.

STEP 6 Spread the batter over the blueberries in the baking dish. Bake in a preheated 350 F oven for 40-45 minutes.

Let it cool slightly then serve it warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream!
