Use a Rehrucken/Almond Cake Loaf Pan for this cake. Or double the recipe and bake it in a bundt cake pan instead
– 1/2 cup butter (1 stick) – 1 cup sugar – 1 egg – 2/3 cup milk – 1 1/2 tsp almond extract – 1/2 tsp baking powder – 1 1/4 cup flour
Whisk the sugar, milk, egg and almond extract.
Stir in the baking powder and flour.
Whisk in the melted butter.
Pour the batter in a greased cake pan.
Bake for 40-50 minutes. Leave the cake in the pan until completely cooled.
Top the cake with powdered sugar or berries and almonds.
