This dip is cool and refreshing, making it perfect for serving with a spicy appetizer like Buffalo wings or spicy air fryer pasta chips. The simplicity of the ingredients really lets the feta flavor shine through.

I like that it has a little bit of cheese flavor, but without the overwhelming cheesiness of a cheese sauce. This Greek inspired dip is the perfect addition to your next football game day gathering!

Key Ingredients

For exact amounts needed see the recipe card below

Feta cheese – Crumble up a block of feta or buy it already pre-crumbled at the grocery store.

Greek yogurt – Make this dip a little bit lighter by using plain Greek yogurt instead of sour cream or mayonnaise. The thick yogurt flavors the dip and helps make it creamy and delicious.

Garlic – Fresh garlic cloves enhance the cheese flavor and spice up the feta dip.

Olive oil – Olive oil adds more of the traditional flavors of the Mediterranean.

Key Tips for This Recipe

Be sure to check out the step by step instructions

Feta is usually a little bit salty, so I don’t think this dip needs any extra salt. Add some pepper if you want a little extra spice.

To get a smooth dip consistency a food processor works best.

Use extra virgin olive oil for a deep, rich flavor.

How to Make Whipped Feta Dip

If your feta cheese is stored in a brine that remove it from the brine and let it drain. Crumble it up into smaller pieces if it is in a big block.

Put the feta in a food processor and add the yogurt, garlic and olive oil. Blend everything together until the dip is smooth and creamy and the garlic is pulverized into small pieces.

If you don’t have a food processor then mince the garlic into very small pieces. Then combine it all with an electric mixer until it is creamy.

How to Serve

This dip has a cool and refreshing flavor, with a nice mild feta taste and a hint of garlic. It makes a great alternative to a ranch dip. Here are some of my favorite appetizers to serve dip into it.

  • Carrot and celery sticks
  • Pita Chips
  • Air fryer pasta chips
  • Air fryer ravioli
  • Buffalo chicken wings
  • Crackers

How to Store

Store the dip in a tightly covered container in the refrigerator. It will stay fresh in the refrigerator for 3-5 days. But if you leave it out of the refrigerator, like on an appetizer tray at a party, for more than 2 hours you should discard it, not return it to the refrigerator!
