This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of UPS. All opinions are 100% mine.
There are so many people all over the country who dedicate themselves to others and work to make a difference. This holiday season UPS wants to celebrate these great people in communities across America who are doing their part to help others all year long. They want to hear your story about someone who makes a difference!
Does a friend of yours help run a soup kitchen? Do collect coats to donate to homeless shelter? UPS wants to hear about real people in your community. Share your story with them, and help inspire others and raise money for charity. And remember these don’t have to be huge, national projects! So much of the most effective outreach happens at a smaller, personal level. My mom volunteered for 10+ years as a Court Appointed Special Advocate for Children, helping children in foster care. We have friends who volunteer as tutors at low income schools, helping kids learn the skills the need to succeed in life. My daughter volunteers at a local animal shelter every week, caring for and finding homes for rescued pets. It doesn’t take a huge investment of time and money to make a difference.
To get involved in the #WishesDelivered campaign visit #WishesDelivered Site and share how you or someone you know is making wishes come true by selflessly helping others. You can also share your general wish for good on Twitter or Instagram using the UPS #WishesDelivered hashtag. For sharing about these selfless wishes UPS will donate $1 to one of their charity partners – Boys & Girls Club of America, World Food Programme, Toys for Tots Literacy Program, The Salvation Army, The UN Refugee Agency. They will donate up to a $150K total donation, and maybe your story will inspire others to make a difference of their own!
UPS will also be creating a series of videos and images that displays their commitment to the effort and both celebrates and spotlights the individuals and organizations. You can see the videos at the website, and read the inspiring stories that others are submitting.
You can submit and share wishes from now until January 1, 2016. Who makes a difference in your community? What’s your wish?
