A few weeks ago we drove by a sign for Stone Quarry Hill Art Park near Cazenovia New York, and decided to stop in on the spur of the moment since it sounded interesting. It is a very unusual park, filled with outdoor art and sculptures.
We thought this artwork, Stacks by David Harper was amazing! It is a bookshelf sitting randomly in a field, transitioning into a log.
It was a creative and fun place to visit, and it is inspiring to see artwork that is so different and clearly inspired by nature.
I love the bookshelf log! SO neat!
Are those real books on it, though?
they are wooden books, although some of the covers were from real books
I love that! How creative!
Oh wow – that is so neat!
That is so unique. Super neat!
OMG what a cool place!! I love the first picture!
That is way cool! I love that first one!
WOW – that artwork really is amazing. I love the bookshelf, too.
What a great way for artists to display their work and for the community to get to enjoy them.
OMG I love that first photo!!
That looks like an awesome place to visit! How fun – the bookshelf is definitely my favorite. What a neat little find 🙂
I can’t put into words how much I enjoyed your photos this week. That art park is simply divine! I want to go there and get lost for a few hours or months. Thank you so much for sharing.
Wow, that’s so cool! I love the one in the pond!
What amazing art and sculptures. I wonder what types of books are in the last one and if anyone reads them
The books are mostly wood made to look like books, although some of the covers are real. They were all fastened down to the shelves too
Oh wow, that bookshelf piece is amazing. It flows seamlessly from one to the other. I love art like this.
I would absolutely love those. So unique and they’re outside? Wild!
Stop by the park! Its located at 3883 Stone Quarry Hill Rd, just outside of Cazenovia. They are always getting new sculptures in, there are many on-going events (Oct. 13th is the Kite Festival!) and the place is fantastic!!!
What a neat park! I love the photos
Wow! That is super cool….and the setups and displays are truly unique.
Absolutely beautiful. I would love to see myself one day. 🙂
