We have a bumper crop of apples from our trees this year.
We picked half of them this week from our two trees, and we have bags and bags, so I guess I am making apple sauce this week!
Even our dog got in on the fun of picking, and munched on a few that hit the ground.
I’ve never picked apples (or even seen an apple tree I don’t think). How fun!
So much fun! My husband grew up on an apple orchard, but picking apples isn’t something we’ve done as a family (yet!).
I wish we had some apple trees on our property. That would make baking apple pies much easier!
Yummy! I definitely need to take the kids out to do some apple picking!
That’s on my list to do with the kids one day. No apple trees in Florida though.
Yummy. I hope you are making some apple pies!
I’m officially jealous of your apple abundance! I love them!
How nice! We have a berry tree in our backyard which is really nice. It must be wonderful having your own apple trees.
Yum! We have a ton of apples on our trees as well, the deer have been eating them like crazy 🙂 I hope they leave some for me since I am finally getting my new range this weekend and can bake again!
those are some great looking apples!
I so want to take my kids to an apple orchard to pick their own apples.
I think our apple picking season is just about over. I only got a huge bag that we picked and made apple sauce out of it this year. If I had a freezer I would have picked more and made apple pie filling and froze it like I did the cherry pie filling.
So fun! I can’t even imagine how many apples you’d get picking your own – we went picking once in Arizona and brought home like 15lbs! It was incredibly easy to pick a lot…and if it was on our property…oh man!
This made me miss my days as an undergraduate in New England. Fall=apple picking 🙂
Whao..apple picking.. I haven’t tried that before too.. must had been fun.
Our dog, Nellie, loves to eat apples, too!
