My son is finally tall enough to mow the lawn! His enthusiasm for this chore will probably wear off quickly, but that is too bad, because I have a feeling he is going to be doing it for years.

Bitter-sweet, right? Yay for being able to do big kid chores now but boo to him growing up so fast!
HOW FUN! I hope the enthusiasm doesn’t wear off too quickly!
I make my son mow the lawn, he’s 12. I do pay him for it though.
It was always my brother’s job to mow the lawn, and he liked it. Then he got a maintenance job at a golf course, and the last thing we wanted to do was come home and mow some more! I hope it doesn’t wear off too soon. 🙂
I wish we had a riding mower for our lawn as it takes 2 hours to cute by push mower. He probably won’t mind doing it as much as at least he isn’t walking with a push mower.
I always loved using the riding tractor when I was a kid. But my parents never let me use it to mow the lawn, just to move stuff around.
Now that looks like a LAWN!
Ours is too small for a riding mower – but my husband really wants one. Hopefully, by the time my kids are big enough to mow the lawn, we will have a nice big one!
Nice! I hope he always loves it 🙂
I think I was happier than him when my son was finally old enough to mow! The novelty wears off. Looks like he’s having fun with the rider!
Soooo much better when you ride!
I love it when kids can do grown up chores!
What an awesome son! Landon always wants to get on the mowers when we are at Home Depot. Bet he would love to actually drive one haha.
it’s so nice to pass that off to someone else!
Woo! It’s always nice to have some manual laborers around the house 😉
Oh my, what an exciting milestone!!! I have 3 boys and I cannot WAIT until they are old enough! 🙂 You look like you have a really good boy on your hands!
I can’t wait for my son to be old enough to mow!
My boys help their dad mow the lawn now. Only thing is, they’re not riding. They would LOVE to ride instead of push.
