Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 3/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoon ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon cardamon
  • 1 3/4 cup flour
  • cinnamon sugar

Instructions

  • Cream the butter with the sugar until well mixed.
  • Add the egg and vanilla and mix well.
  • Add the baking soda, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, cardamon and flour and mix.
  • Refrigerate the dough for about an hour.
  • Preheat the oven to 375 F.
  • Roll the dough into 1 inch balls.
  • Use a cookie press to flatten the balls until they are 1/4 inch thick. Sprinkle the tops with cinnamon sugar.
  • Place on cookie sheets covered in parchment paper. Bake for 11 minutes, until lightly brown around the edges.
