Chocolate Mousse Oreo Pie

Mini Oreo Cookies
Instructions
Crust
Take 24 Oreo cookies and make them into crumbs in a food processor.

Melt the butter and combine it with the cookie crumbs.
3 Tablespoon butter
Press into a pie plate and refrigerate while you make the mousse layer
Mousse Layer
Combine the chocolate chips and butter in a microwave safe bowl.
8 oz. package semi-sweet chocolate chips,
1 Tablespoon butter
Heat in the microwave for about 30 seconds, and stir until melted completely.
Put the chocolate in a mixer bowl and add the egg yolk, sugar, cream and vanilla.
1 egg yolks,
1/4 cup sugar,
1/2 cup heavy cream,
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
Beat until it is creamy.
Spread the Mousse on top of the crust and refrigerate for at least an hour.
This is a good time to get out the cream cheese so it comes to room temperature.
Cream Topping
Chop the remaining 8 Oreo cookies into small pieces but don't crush them like the pie crust Oreos.
8 Oreo Cookies
In a mixer bowl combine the whipped topping and cream cheese and beat until smooth.
2 cup whipped topping,
8 oz. cream cheese
Fold in the chopped cookies, and then spread on top of the pie.
Add mini Oreos around the edge of the pie to decorate. Chill until time to serve.
