Instructions
Make the Glaze
Put the butter and maple syrup in a small sauce pan. Heat over low heat until the butter melts.
1/4 cup butter, 1/2 cup maple syrup
Take the sauce pan off the heat and mix in the powdered sugar.
1 cup powdered sugar
Set aside and let aside and let the glaze cool while you make the donuts.
Make the Donuts
Take the biscuits out of their package and separate them, laying them out on a cutting board.
1 can biscuits
Use a small 1/2" biscuit cutter, a pastry tip, medicine cup or other similar item to cut a hole in the middle of the biscuits.
Use a mister bottle spray the basket of the air fryer with a little bit of oil. Don't use non-stick cooking spray.
Put the donuts in the basket, leaving space between them. You will probably need to make 2 batches.
Roll the extra dough cut out from the middle into balls and add to the air fryer basket to cook along with the donuts, making sure to leave room for the air to circulate.
Air fry the donuts at 350 for 4 minutes. Then flip them over and air fry for another 3 more minutes, until they are golden brown on top.
Put the donuts on cooking racks and let cool for about 5 minutes before glazing
Glaze the Donuts
Crumble the bacon up into small pieces.
2 slices bacon
Stir the glaze briefly, then pick up a donut and dip it into the glaze.
Put it back on the rack and sprinkle with bacon bits.
