Add the barbecue sauce to the bowl and mix again. Then pour the contents of the bowl into the air fryer basket.
1 cup barbecue sauce
Set the air fryer for 400 F for 16 minutes. Shake the basket once or twice as it cooks to make sure it cooks evenly.
Whilte the vegetables cook use a sharp, serrated knife to cut the kielbasa into 1/2 inch pieces.
1 pound kielbasa
After the 16 minutes are up add the kielbasa to the air fryer basket and mix everything together.
Air fry at 400 F for another 8 minutes. The potatoes should be browned and tender and the kielbasa should be crispy around the edges.
Put the meal on a serving platter and drizzle it with more barbecue sauce.
Notes
You can use a different type of sausage without changing the recipe like smoked sausage, turkey sausage or vegetarian sausage. Just make sure it is precooked.
You can also vary the types of vegetables. Sweet potatoes or zucchini work well in this dish. A quick cooking green vegetables like green beans or broccoli could be added when you add the sausage.
This recipe fits fine in my large 5.8 quart air fryer. If you have a smaller air fryer you might need to halve the recipe.
