Ingredients
2poundschicken wings
1Tablespoonbaking powder
2Tablespoonslemon pepper seasoning
1teaspoonsaltoptional, depending on the salt content of your lemon pepper seasoning
Instructions
If your chicken wings aren't cut apart cut them into wingettes and drumettes. Discard the wing tips.
2 pounds chicken wings
Pat the wings dry with paper towels and put them in a large bowl.
Add the baking powder to the bowl and toss the wings to mix.
1 Tablespoon baking powder
Add the lemon pepper seasoning and salt (if using) and toss to mix.
2 Tablespoons lemon pepper seasoning, 1 teaspoon salt
Put the chicken wings in an air fryer basket, making sure not to overcrowd them. Keep them in a single layer.
Air fry at 360 degrees F for 18 minutes, flipping them over after 10 minutes.
After the 18 minutes is up increase the air fryer heat to 400 degrees F and air fry for 6 more minutes.
Use an instant read thermometer to verify the wings are cooked to 165 degrees F.
Notes
Frozen Wings
For frozen wings don't add the seasoning at the beginning, it won't stick well to frozen wings. Cook at 360 degrees F for 26 minutes. Flip after 15 minutes and add the lemon pepper seasoning then, but skip the baking powder.
Then increase the heat to 400 degrees F and cook them for another 6 minutes. Check with an instant read thermometer to make sure they have reached 165 degrees F.
